Any office equipment or technology designed to optimize efficiency, reduce injuries or illness is considered ergonomic. Ergonomics is defined as "a science that deals with designing and arranging things so that people can use them easily and safely."
An excellent resource for ergonomic information is the Cornell University Egonomics Web portal found here (CUErgo).
Based on how technology has progressed most office equipment has evolved to become more ergonomic. However it is up to you to figure our the best set up and equipment to suit your body and address any injuries which you have had in the past.
