1.Better is defined by you.
We just support you with “how” you become better. My better is different than your better. Once you join the program your business is deciding to be better. This means that you want this better reality and you are not satisfied with “maintaining” or “barely making it”. You are serious about growth and so are we. We are not fixated on going green or thinking pink. We just want to support you on your path to becoming better, no matter what colour, texture or way that looks.
2. You can’t argue with us.
Everyone can be better at what they do. Even if you think that everything you touch is gold – I’ll ask this – Could more people benefit from your gold? We have created a program broad enough to cover most of the learning and science needs of businesses – Better Products. Better Customer Reach. Better Customer Retention. Better Technology.

3. Climate Change is real.
Especially for us in the Caribbean. Do we really have to wait for more evidence to make some changes?
4. We can be your extra eyes and hands.
Businesses always need extra hands or eyes working on their behalf. Right?
5. Resilience is everything.
This word is the buzz word in the development and science world. Entrepreneurs may know this characteristic as grit. Academics may refer to this characteristic as student persistence. Resilience is our ability to cope and it is the way we face any stress in our reality. How each of us recognizes stress is different.
Resilience is our ability to bounce back, so how we recognize stress is important for us to figure out how to bounce back. What does that mean to you? Well that is up to you and for me to find out with you - if you join this program.

6. You do NOT need a Ph.D to figure out resilience.
However, for aspects of resilience that require the skills, research, knowledge application, original science contributions and competencies acquired through completing a Ph.D you have access to our director and her network of Ph.Ds who are ready to do practical work and research application with Caribbean businesses. We will do the work and research for you.
7. We have no logo. This is because our focus is on building your business, growing your brand and supporting your work. We are not as concerned about being recognized. We just want our work to speak volumes. We have the intent that our program will continue to reach new businesses based on the quality of our work. But really we will get a logo soon, as soon as we raise some funds to do that.
8. Listen to our music. Watch Rihanna.
The way we do anything in the Caribbean HAS to be different than anywhere else in the world. In the Caribbean we understand this when it comes to music. Look at how there are distinct genres of Caribbean music. Even when Caribbean sounds are merged with sounds from around the world, we can always recognize the Caribbean flavour or accents.
Look at how Rihanna’s sound, as a Caribbean woman, has come full circle to be distinctly defined by her Caribbean identity. We need to better understand how to tailor our work to our unique Caribbean identities and realities. We need to apply this understanding to how we operate and grow our businesses in the Caribbean. On our Caribbean islands we want to make it clearly understood that this application is rooted in the quality of our health and environment.
9.This is not about the children or the future.
Well that sounds harsh. What we do IS for the benefit of the children, but right now the parents, the adults and our businesses need to make better decisions in order to sustain our resources in our own lifetimes. This program is about how our decisions today affect us...today.
10. We have no external funding.
The program is funded by participating businesses and subsidized by in-kind time and talent contributions from consultants and university students, so that the program remains affordable.
This is good for your business – we will not change your agenda based on the needs of our funding partners because YOU will be funding the program. This is what self-determination looks like. This is how we work.

Work, work, work, work, work, work....mmmm hmmmm.
You know I was going there from the time I mentioned Rihanna so don't act surprised.
